Let’s Go Nats!

Guess what?!  Last night my dad took me to a Potomac Nationals game and they won, 3-2!  I ate a hot dog, a pretzel, a snickers bar and sunflower seeds.

In the sixth inning it started to rain! It wasn’t raining that hard so we decided to stay, but when we got to the seventh inning it started to pour, so we had to leave. But the night wasn’t over yet. We went home and watched Spy Kids and one Happy Days, then fell asleep.

It was a great night!

Mess

Craziness!!

Guess what?! Mom went to the beach with her friends this weekend and Dad is in charge of the house! So far it has been craziness! It’s a quarter to one and still nobody has done their hair or brushed their teeth or even gotten dressed. Did I say by any chance that the house is a mess? Especially the playroom!

Today we are going to play a game called sprinkler trampoline. It is when my dad puts the sprinkler on top of the railing of the deck and it showers on the trampoline. Talk about fun!

The First Play-Dough Burrito

The first play-dough burrito was made on Friday, July 23, 2011. It was made from a mix of purple and pink play-dough. It was made by a girl named Reagan Connelly. She is age 9 and will be 10 in March! It was done in a brick house in Austin Ridge in Stafford, Virginia. The burrito contained mushrooms, onions, and of course, the burrito shell. It was cut into four mini-burritos. It didn’t taste that good!

The Big Race

Me and my Dad decided to do a race at my school carnival. It was a mile race and it was my first race. When I woke up that morning it was raining hard. I was afraid I would have to run in the rain but it cleared up by the time I got there. My Nana and my sister also ran. The race was shorter then I thought it would be and we finished in about 16 minutes. I had fun and I will probably do it again next year! Then I had fun at the school carnival!

I Don't Like Puppy Mills!

I think puppy mills are bad for dogs. They are cooped up in very small, dirty cages their whole life! Some of these puppies have diseases and sicknesses like pneumonia. There are often sold at six weeks of age even though some laws require that they are sold at 8 weeks of age. Often these puppies don’t get enough food or water. So if you are considering buying a puppy you should get one from the SPCA or an animal rescue center or take part in a pet adoption. If people stop buying from puppy mills they will go out of business and this will save future puppies.

Next week we are making ravioli and garlic bread. Yum! I have a good time at my cooking lessons.

Here is a picture of me in my apron. The class is at Young Chef’s Academy.
